APPEALS

Participants who are unsatisfied with a score received at an assessment can re-submit material for re-assessment. Re-assessment is carried out at the next scheduled assessment session.

  • Submission of Material for Appeals

The appeals procedure has been designed to maintain confidentiality.

An Appeals Service Form can be downloaded from the UK NEQAS CPT website and should be submitted along with:

    • The material originally submitted as part of the assessment run you wish to appeal

    • Both page 1 and 2 fully completed on the Appeals Service Form

The material and form MUST be submitted together, before the deadline for the next scheduled assessment.

New material MUST NOT be submitted.

  • Assessment of Appeals

Assessment of appeals will be carried out as part of the routine assessment session, by expert peer assessors who are independent from the original submission, to eliminate any potential bias within the appeals procedure.

  • Appeal Report

Once assessed, the amended report will be available to view on the UK NEQAS CPT website.

All material is returned following reassessment, via the UK NEQAS CPT Logistics Team. Any scoring amendments may be discussed with the original expert assessors for auditing and training purposes.

  • Falsification of Appeal Material

Material submitted as part of the appeal process must be the original material, in the original state in which it was submitted for assessment in the first instance.

Any participant suspected to be in breach of the above, or suspected of collusion and falsification, will be suspended from UK NEQAS CPT pending investigation.
